Random Thoughts from My Commute

I have a 100-mile roundtrip commute to my job each day.

Most of my drive is on Interstates. So it's a relatively easy drive.

This allows me to ponder my existence daily. I thought I'd start blogging about some of the thoughts I have or sights I see.

Two recent sightings have left me with some questions:

1.  Why does a woman driving a mini-van in central Indiana have handcuffs hanging from her rearview mirror?

2.  Why is a skeleton hanging behind a driver's seat of a pick-up truck wearing a suit coat?

I told you, just some random questions from a typical workday drive.

  2. When we are on the interstate, I usually have my nose in a book or a knitting pattern. Hubby will call my attention to the "most interesting" things, like: a license plate that says "Savage" (his middle name). I guess when you are at the wheel, you see lots more than I usually miss. :)

  6. I used to commute over an hour one way before my current job. It definitely gave me a lot of time to ponder all kinds of things. I did also listen to quite a few books on CD to help pass the time.

  7. Due to your random thoughts and great vacation posts among others, I have awarded you "A Blog with Substance" award on my blog.

    Happy 4th of July!

  8. I can't believe you drive that far everyday! Hubby is always trying to push me to move to central Indiana because the traffic would be better than here in the Chicago burbs, but now I have proof that it might not be any better!
When I used to drive an hour each way, I taught myself to drive with my left foot and would memorize the brand and name of each kind of car from the back. Things you do to pass the time...
